Thanks to everyone who braved the weather for our Jan. 2 Snow Day Auction. We had a great time meeting each and every one of you and look forward seeing you again. We’ll be updating the website during this wintery break. You can see the newly updated “about” page that tells the story of how Eric became an auctioneer and made his way to now settle in Kansas City. And…we’ll be hunkering down with some good books that we’ll be perusing for an upcoming online book auction in the works for next month. Stay safe and warm out there and we’ll keep you posted. -Erica Iman

Yesterday, Iman Auction Company of Salisbury, MO, sold 100 acres of farmland near Brookfield, MO, for $600,000, or $6,000/acre. This shows that the farmland market is still holding strong, and considering that the tillable acreage of the farm was approx. 75 acres, the price per income producing acre was at the high end of the spectrum.
